TOP 10 SAFEST AREAS TO LIVE IN TORONTO GTA 2026

According to Toronto Police Service data, there was a 47.4% increase in home invasions compared to the same period in 2025! One moment you are fast asleep and the next.....you hear someone in your living room. The most recent home invasion that happened in one of Toronto's most well known luxury community has many homeowners thinking about moving. In their words, many are looking for "less well known" areas to call home. You might be surprised to hear that Toronto does NOT make the top 5 list of this list. Over the last 25 years, I am often the one that gets the call in many of these moves. As a result, I know where they are going and why.

My name is Paul Indrigo. As someone who has been in the real estate industry for 5X the usual amount of time that most agents do, I have made it my goal to be the best helper I can be. In many cases this means helping you move somewhere else and, in others, we discuss ways to make your current property safer and more secure. I can do both very well. Helping you feel safe and secure in your homes is a big part of your quality of life. Although Toronto is often mentioned as a "safe" city, you have to wonder who is actually doing these reports. This is my attempt at getting REAL people involved. No filter here.

The moment you do not feel safe at home or in your community, it changes everything. As someone who has helped 1000s of people move over the last 26 years, my goal is to always make sure you are in the best area for your current and future needs. As our city continues to grow and evolve, ensuring the safety and security of our homes remains a top priority for every resident. A few recent stats include: -12 people shot in one weekend (July 11th weekend) -The top 3 areas for Home Invasions are Bedford Park-Nortown, Willowdale and West Hill (Toronto Police) -Rosedale has been targeted by burglars at a rate more than 2X the Toronto average, ranking it among the top three neighborhoods for per capita break-ins and thefts (Source: The Guardian)

-Car thefts have surged by 400% in one Toronto East community

While recent data shows a welcome decline in overall major crime across the city, specific neighborhoods—including Rosedale-Moore Park, West Humber & other areas—have seen a persistent rise in targeted property theft and residential break-ins. This survey is designed to capture the real-world experiences and concerns of Toronto and GTA area homeowners and future buyers. Your feedback will help us understand the current safety landscape and advocate for the resources and strategies needed to keep our community secure.

Thanks for taking this survey. As part of my thanks for taking part, you will be added to my VIP perks club. With over $5k+ in potential savings, this is something that has helped many of you. Whether first time buyer or retiring to a smaller place. Plus bonus reports on what is happening in your area that you won't find anywhere else....
