TomoClub AI Innovation Youth Challenge (TAICY)

TAICY is a Global AI Innovation Challenge for students aged 8–15.

We are looking for Future Problem solvers who can:

- Identify and solve a real world problem using AI 

- Lead and collaborate with other students.  

Round 1 - CREATE (async, AI-focused)

Challenge is live from Aug 21 and submission closes on Sept 20, 11:59 PM EDT. 

- Every student is supposed to identify a real world problem, propose an idea, and build a prototype of a solution.

The scoring will be based on this criterion:

1. Problem identification- 25%

2. Proposed solution- 25%

3. Working prototype- 30%

4. Presentation/Articulation- 20%

To build a prototype any AI tool can be used, but you need to submit proof of work as a video, PDF, HTML, or link.

Results for the selected students for Round 2  will be announced on Sept 22 : All participants will get a personalised assessment report - strengths, growth areas and certificate of participation.

Round 2 - LEAD (live team game)

This round is to test your ability to work with other students as a team.

Here students will be put in random teams of 3, and compete against other randomly built teams in Multiplayer Game setup in a live zoom session.

The teams and schedule will be announced on the same day or result, ie Sept 22. 

The games will test the students to analyse the game objective, collaborate, and strategise to win.

- Open globally, ages 8–15.

- AI Use Log required (self-written > AI written; Not judged on grammar/writing skills); no edits after the deadline; Round 2's live format is a natural authenticity check.
