Creators' Fund+ Application Form

Creators' Fund+ Round 2 is a 12-month programme supporting Black and Global Majority creative and cultural professionals based in Scotland. Each awardee receives a tailored package worth £2,980, including £1,514 in direct funding and 20 hours of strategic paid mentoring from industry professionals. This programme supports ongoing career development and progression rather than one-off creative projects. Audio and video applications: If you'd prefer to apply by audio or video instead of writing, here's what you need to know: * Keep it to 5-10 minutes maximum
* Cover the main questions: your creative practice, your goals for the next 12 months, how you'd use the funding, and what mentoring support you need
* Audio files: MP3 or WAV preferred, but any common format is fine
* Video files: MP4 or MOV preferred, but any common format is fine
* For large files, you can share a link (Google Drive, WeTransfer, Dropbox) rather than uploading directly
* Don't worry about production quality - as long as we can hear and understand you clearly, that's all that matters

Section 2: Your Creative Practice

Section 3: Your Career and Business Development

This section is the heart of your application. We want to understand your vision for developing your creative practice over the next 12 months and beyond. Please provide as much detail as possible.

What do you want to achieve with your creative work over the next 12 months, and how will this funding help you get there?

We want to understand your goals and what's currently stopping you from reaching them. You might already be earning from your creative work and looking to grow, or you might need support to get started - both are welcome. (1800 characters maximum)

Your total support package is worth £2,980. Here's how it breaks down:

£1,514 – direct funding for your creative development (this is what you budget for the below answer)
£586 – paid to you for attending your mentoring sessions (20 hours × £29.30/hour) - you can choose to put this towards your project or use as income
£880 (20 hours x £44/hour) – paid to your mentor(s) by us

The £1,514 is yours to spend on things like: equipment, training, materials, workspace, marketing, collaboration costs, professional services, or anything else that supports your development.

Section 4: Mentoring Support

Each awardee receives 20 hours of paid mentoring from industry professionals. We offer flexible mentoring arrangements to match your development needs. You are also able to request more than one mentor if required.
