Honestly, the excitement tends to override any sense of whether it feels safe

I notice safety as an absence of red flags rather than a positive felt sense

I feel safe when someone is pursuing me consistently, even if other things are off

I'm not sure I have consciously looked for safety, I've mostly followed the feeling

I adjusted myself, sometimes without realising, to keep the connection feeling good
