Character performers play princesses, princes, super-heroes, mascots, and other characters. Service performers run a full station or service event — face painting, balloons, makeup, henna, DJ, and more (this is different from the light face-paint or balloon extras a character performer can add while in costume). Pick "Both" only if you can genuinely run either kind of event on your own — for example, a princess who is also a skilled face painter or balloon artist.
