Apply to exhibit at Halifax Design Week 2026

Halifax Design Week is an in‑person pop‑up event that brings together the creative and business communities and the public for conversations, knowledge sharing, and skill transfers that help us understand the past and present to build the future. The first edition runs November 13–15, 2026, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and we are excited to invite you to take part.

Who can apply:

We are looking for designers and makers in Atlantic Canada to showcase their work. You may apply with a physical object, a digital project, or both, provided it connects with innovation and storytelling about the past, present, and possible futures.

Key Dates and Cost:

Application deadline: Wednesday, September 30, 2026, 11:59 PM Atlantic
You'll hear back by: Tuesday, October 20, 2026
Participation cost: Free to apply, free to exhibit. We are funded by our sponsors.

How We Choose

This is a juried show. A jury reviews every application and looks at:

- How well it fits this year's themes (innovation and our tag line: Past, Present, Possible) - Whether we can display it safely in our venues - How clear and complete your application is We cannot accept everyone. Applying does not mean you will be selected. We will email you either way.

Your rights and role

You keep all rights to your work. Halifax Design Week does not take any revenue from work sold or shown at the event. If we select your work, we will list your name and your project on our website and in our program. This is part of being in a public show.

You get your work to the venue and take it home again.

Halifax Design Week does not insure your work. We are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage while your work is with us. If your work is valuable, please insure it yourself. Venues are shared public spaces and are not locked at all times.
