Switzerland will host the AI Action Summit in Geneva in 2027 – a unique opportunity to shape the global conversation on AI governance, innovation, and international cooperation.
GenAI Zürich 2026 and
ICT4Peace are gathering input from our community to help inform Switzerland’s approach. Your perspectives – whether from industry, research, policy, or civil society – will feed into the strategic thinking of the Swiss Government in preparing the AI Summit in Geneva in 2027 and in particular to the Meeting of the
Platforme Tripartite on 13 April 2026 of the Swiss Government.
We would like to recall the objectives that the Swiss government has formulated that we want / should achieve with the summit:
Hosting an AI summit allows Switzerland to play a role in shaping the current debate on AI use and international governance, while reinforcing its position as a strong and dynamic research and innovation hub. The summit would also allow to highlight the importance of international law and fundamental rights in AI development and deployment.
