Role Overview

Graphic Design Interns help shape how Posterity International’s research, advocacy, programs, and campaigns are experienced visually.


Three interns will support distinct portfolios:


Digital Content Designer — Posterity International: Primarily designs social media carousels, infographics, stories, and other recurring digital content.


Campaign & Organizational Designer — Posterity International: Supports campaign identities, fundraising materials, reports, event materials, website assets, presentations, and other organizational design needs.


Safe Survivor Initiative Designer: Develops visual materials specifically for the Safe Survivor Initiative, including advocacy, educational, fundraising, event, campaign, and movement-building assets.

Key Responsibilities

Design polished visual materials for the assigned portfolio
Translate research, statistics, and complex information into accessible visual formats
Create campaign and fundraising assets
Collaborate with marketing, research, and social media team members
Maintain consistency with organizational visual identity
Incorporate feedback and revise work efficiently
Prepare appropriately formatted assets for digital and, when applicable, print use

Qualifications

Experience using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or comparable design tools
Understanding of typography, layout, hierarchy, and composition
Ability to communicate information visually
Strong attention to detail
Portfolio or examples of previous design work strongly preferred

What We're Looking For

Designers with a clean visual eye who care about both aesthetics and communication. Strong candidates are dependable, thoughtful about representing vulnerable communities, responsive to feedback, and capable of producing polished work rather than treating mission-driven design as an afterthought.

Compensation

This is an unpaid, volunteer-based internship. However, students may be eligible to receive academic or course credit through their university, subject to their institution’s approval and requirements.
