FORMAT International Photography Festival is the UK’s leading international contemporary festival of photography and related media. Curated and led by the team at Derby QUAD. The festival and related year-round programming celebrate the wealth of contemporary photographic practice. FORMAT is the place to engage with an incredible range of work from new and emerging photographers alongside that of some of the best-known practitioners in the world.

FORMAT27 will run from 11 March to 11 April 2027 in Derby, UK.

This information pack is for publishers to register their interest in taking part in the FORMAT27 Photobook Market.

The FORMAT27 Photobook Market will take place from Friday 12 – Sunday 14 March 2027 as one of the feature events taking place across the city during our opening weekend. We’d love to have you involved!
The market will take place in the historic Derby Market Hall, situated next to QUAD, the epicentre of FORMAT27. Our Photobook Market will be a varied and vibrant place, with book publishers, rare book traders, photo magazines, independent photobook producers, equipment dealers, and everything in between.

The FORMAT Photobook Market will provide a unique opportunity for face-to-face networking, as well as the opportunity to communicate with and sell to professional photographers and the general public alike. The FORMAT Photobook Market is one of the key events taking place during the opening weekend of the festival and will consequently feature heavily in our print and online marketing campaigns. Additionally, all participants will be invited to join us for our launch events and after-parties running throughout the launch weekend.
