Self-medication among Egyptian university students

This survey is part of a research project titled: “Self-medication among Egyptian university students: prevalence, patterns, and safety awareness, with a focus on antibiotics and analgesics.”

The purpose of this survey is to collect information about self-medication practices among Egyptian university students, particularly the use of antibiotics and painkillers, and to better understand awareness of safe medication use.

You are invited to take part if you are currently enrolled as a university student in Egypt and aged 15 years or older. Participation involves completing an online questionnaire.

Your participation is completely voluntary. You may choose not to answer any question, and you may stop completing the survey at any time before submission without any consequences.

Your responses will be treated confidentially and used only for academic research purposes. Any information collected will be handled securely, and identifying details will be removed or de-identified during data analysis where applicable.

This study has received ethics approval from the University of Hertfordshire, under UH protocol number: 1816 CP HSET 2025.
