Rubi is building the AI operating system for private market deal teams. Our platform turns unstructured deal materials into structured intelligence—parsing CIMs, generating IC memos, benchmarking deals, and learning from every investment decision.
We’ve already built a product that leading private equity firms rely on. Demand is accelerating, and we’re looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer in New York City to work directly with our most important customers and push Rubi deeper into real-world deal workflows.
This is a high-impact, customer-facing engineering role at the center of product, AI, and private markets.

Forward Deployed Engineers at Rubi sit at the intersection of customer, product, and core engineering. You’ll embed with firms, understand their workflows end-to-end, and translate real-world deal friction into shipped product improvements. This role is critical to ensuring Rubi becomes indispensable to elite investment teams.
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you’ll work hands-on with customers to deploy Rubi into live deal environments, customize workflows, and surface insights that directly shape the product roadmap.
You’ll operate with high autonomy, deep customer exposure, and real ownership.
• Work directly with private equity firms to deploy and customize Rubi in live deal workflows
• Embed with customers to understand their processes, data, and decision-making patterns
• Build bespoke features, integrations, and workflow adaptations when needed
• Translate customer needs into clear technical requirements for the core engineering team
• Debug real-world issues across data ingestion, AI outputs, and infrastructure
• Help define best practices for onboarding, deployment, and customer success
• Act as a technical ambassador for Rubi with sophisticated, demanding users

• You can take vague customer feedback and turn it into concrete solutions
• You move quickly, communicate clearly, and own problems end-to-end

• You’re based in New York City and can work in person
• You care deeply about usability, trust, and reliability—not just code correctness
• Have experience in forward deployed, solutions engineering, or customer-facing roles
• Have worked with LLMs, RAG pipelines, or AI-driven workflows in production
• Have supported enterprise or high-stakes customers
• Are curious about private markets, investing, or financial workflows
• Have experience deploying software into complex, real-world environments
Competitive salary ($150,000 – $200,000) + meaningful equity (0.5–2%)
