Hello, friends! Our gathering has been created with so much care as space to inspire connection. It is intended as both a whimsical, emergent experience and an experiential practice ground - meant to be a gentle container in which your spirit is nurtured and your autonomy is honored, while also exploring how to dream forward, and connect with breadth and depth.
We'll practice both toward our own center, toward each other, and toward nature/land/spirit.
To hold this space, we enter our time together with these agreements:
Honor Yourself:
Everything is optional.
I promise to take good care of myself. To follow the tugs, pings, rumblings that will guide me to participate, not participate, engage, not engage, eat, drink, notice, rest, move.
I will pause often with curiosity, tend to the arising needs of body & heart, and ask for clarity, support, space or companionship as needed. I understand I can show up into this space in my complexity and in my humanness and prioritize practices of regulation and care.
Honor Others:
We remember each other.
We navigate our togetherness with consideration. We acknowledge that we arrive into this retreat with different histories, identities, privileges, and current realities. During the retreat we may be having very different experiences, or have different needs or desires.
We honor each other by communicating our needs with kindness. Offering what we can with generosity. Acknowledging the invitation for more quietude during our time together, we are considerate of shared spaces. We honor our togetherness by listening, connecting, and relating without offering unsolicited advice or opinions.
Honor the Space:
We hold open the space.
Our retreat is "Sometimes Silent". There will be some dedicated quiet time and quiet spaces and I will honor the intentionality of this rhythm. Together, we hope to shift the habitual ways we shrink or take up space, the ways we need to perform or prove our belonging. Loosen the language around our roles and responsibilities. Not to get farther away from what is, but to get closer to what wants to be, to what is emerging. Together we create a space for brave humans to show up exactly as they are (we are!). Our intent is that the space isn't necessarily comfortable, but it is real, and it is caring.
Though we may wish to share about experiences on retreat, we will share from the "I" and not include the stories or personal experiences of other individuals without permission. May this offer us the permission, ourselves and each other, to feel, to play, to experiment, and to express in each other's company if desired.
