Thank you for your interest in auditioning for the Acculturated Bhangra Academy Competition Team.
Our Competition Team is designed for dedicated dancers who are passionate about learning, growing, and performing at a competitive level. The tryout process allows our instructors to evaluate each participant's skills, attitude, commitment, teamwork, and overall suitability for the team.
Please note: Completing this registration form does not guarantee selection for the Competition Team.
Please read all information carefully before submitting your registration.
This is not a casual dance class. This is a serious, performance-based competition team designed for dedicated dancers who want to train, grow, and perform at a professional level.
This is not a recreational class. Participation requires discipline, commitment, and full cooperation for the entire duration of the program.
By proceeding with registration, the participant confirms they understand the nature of this program and voluntarily agree to all terms outlined below.
📌 1. TRYOUT DETAILS
The tryout date, time, location, and any additional instructions will be shared only with registered participants after:

All communication regarding the tryout will be conducted through WhatsApp using the phone number provided in this registration form. Please ensure your WhatsApp number is active and accessible.
📌 2. TRYOUT FEE
A non-refundable Tryout Registration Fee of $19.99 CAD is required to reserve your audition spot.

📌 IMPORTANT INFORMATION
• The tryout fee is non-refundable and non-transferable under all circumstances.
• Payment of the tryout fee does not guarantee selection.
• Only registered participants will be permitted to attend the tryout.
• Late arrivals may not be permitted to participate.
• Participants should arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled tryout time

No additional consent will be required for such usage.
📌 LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
The academy is not responsible for:
• Personal injuries during practice or performance
• Loss of personal belongings
• Transportation or travel-related issues
Participation is entirely at the individual’s own risk.
📌 USE OF ROUTINES: Team members are not permitted to reproduce, use, or transmit any of the exercise and dance routines taught in practice session for commercial purposes without written consent from ABC.
📌 VALUABLES: ABC is not liable for any loss or theft of personal belongings such as mobile phones or jewelry during classes or performances.
📌 PARENTAL SUPERVISION: Parents are requested to drop off and pick up their children promptly before and after classes.
📌Medical Conditions: Team members with medical conditions must keep prescribed medications with them during classes and provide a medical certificate stating their fitness to participate.
📌 Acknowledgment of Physical Risks:
I understand that dance instruction, rehearsals, acrobatics, stretching, and related physical activities involve inherent risks of injury. These risks include, but are not limited to:
Muscle strains, sprains, torn ligaments, and joint injuries.Bruises, cuts, scrapes, and bone fractures.Collisions with other dancers, walls, mirrors, floors, or studio equipment.Dehydration, dizziness, or physical exhaustion
📌 Property Damage: ABC is not liable for personal injury or property damage occurring on its premises.
📌 Release of Liability & Waiver of Claims
In consideration for being permitted to participate in TRYOUTS at ABC BHANGRA, I agree to waive any and all claims that I have or may have in the future against the studio, its sole proprietor, employees, instructors, and agents (collectively referred to as the "Releasees").
I hereby release the Releasees from any and all liability for any loss, damage, expense, or injury, including death, that I or my child may suffer as a result of participation in studio activities due to any cause whatsoever, including negligence, breach of contract, or breach of any statutory duty of care under the Occupiers' Liability Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. O.2.
📌 Reporting Unsafe Conditions: Students and parents are encouraged to report any unsafe conduct or conditions to ABC staff promptly
📌 Medical Emergency Authorization:
I confirm that the student is in good health and physically capable of participating in dance classes. In the event of a medical emergency, injury, or illness during studio hours, I hereby authorize ABC BHANGRA staff to secure necessary medical treatment, including calling emergency services or transporting the student to a hospital. I accept full financial responsibility for any medical or ambulance expenses incurred.
📌 Minor Student Execution: Dual signature lines ensuring a legal guardian signs for anyone under 18 years old.
📌 Release and Indemnification:A clause where the signer agrees not to sue the academy or its instructors for negligence.
📌 Administration: Acculturated Bhangra Club (ABC BHANGRA) is administered by Bhavneet Singh, and all policies mentioned herein apply to ABC BHANGRA.
📌 Severability & Legal Jurisdiction:
I agree that if any portion of this agreement is found to be void, invalid, or unenforceable by an Ontario court, the remaining sections of the contract shall continue in full force and effect. This agreement is governed strictly by the laws of the Province of Ontario.
📌 TRYOUT ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
By signing below, I acknowledge and agree that:
✔ Registration is for the tryout only.
✔ Paying the tryout fee does not guarantee selection.
✔ The academy reserves the right to select participants based on skill, attitude, teamwork, commitment, attendance potential, and overall suitability for the Competition Team.
✔ The academy's selection decisions are final.
✔ If selected, I will be required to review and sign the official Competition Team Registration Agreement before joining the team.
✔ I understand that the official Competition Team Agreement contains all policies regarding payments, attendance, discipline, refunds, jewelry, props, ID verification, and other academy rules.
✔ I understand that the academy reserves the right to cancel or reschedule tryouts due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, participants will be informed of the new schedule.
✔ I understand that participation in dance activities involves physical activity and accept responsibility for participating within my own physical abilities. I will inform the academy of any medical conditions or injuries that may affect my participation.

📌 ABOUT THE COMPETITION TEAM
The Acculturated Bhangra Academy Competition Team is a professional, performance-based training program designed for dedicated individuals who are committed to learning, improving their skills, and representing the academy at competitions and performances.
This is not a recreational dance class. The Competition Team requires commitment, discipline, teamwork, and a willingness to train consistently throughout the program.
If selected, participants should be aware of the following:
The Competition Team follows a
minimum 3-month structured training program.
Practices are generally conducted 3 days per week, with each session lasting approximately 2–3 hours, depending on training requirements.
As competitions approach, particularly during the final month of preparation, the academy may increase the number of practice sessions or extend practice hours if additional rehearsal is required to prepare the team.
Members are expected to attend all scheduled practices, arrive on time, maintain discipline, and practice independently outside of scheduled team practices.
Participants are expected to demonstrate professionalism, respect toward instructors and teammates, and maintain the performance standards established by the academy.
The Competition Team Registration Agreement will include complete details regarding:
• Competition training schedule
• Practice expectations and attendance requirements
• Team rules and code of conduct
• Payment structure and installment schedule
• Registration and administrative requirements
• Refund and cancellation policy
• Jewelry rental policyProps policy
• ID verification requirements
• Participant responsibilities
• Academy policies and procedures
• Any additional terms and conditions applicable to the specific Competition Team
Competition Team fees vary depending on the program, including but not limited to:
• Competition requirements
• Choreography and coaching requirements
• Music production or live musicians (if applicable)
• Props and other project-specific expenses
All applicable fees, payment schedules, and financial obligations will be clearly explained to selected participants before they are required to accept their position on the Competition Team and complete their official registration.
Submission of this Tryout Registration Form and payment of the Tryout Registration Fee does not guarantee selection for the Competition Team.
