Intern: Software Engineer

JamJam is a video e-commerce and live shopping app with scam protection.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with our engineering team to build, test, and deploy features for the JamJam mobile app and web platform. Write clean, maintainable code under the guidance of senior engineers, contributing to areas like frontend UI (React/React Native), backend APIs (Node.js/Python), or supporting AI/ML data pipelines. Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and team meetings to gain exposure to agile development and production software practices. Assist in troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing application performance to improve user experience.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

Foundational knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java, Swift, Kotlin) and an eagerness to learn new technologies quickly.

Basic understanding of software development principles, data structures, and version control (Git).

Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and a proactive attitude toward learning in a fast-paced startup environment.

Bonus: Personal projects, hackathon participation, or prior internship experience in mobile or web development.

Compensation

Monthly Stipend: $100 - $250 USD per month
