ISIT 2026 Quantum Hackathon

About the Hackathon

The ISIT 2026 Quantum Hackathon is a hybrid competition (June 28 –July 1, 2026) bringing together students, researchers, and practitioners to apply quantum computing to impactful problems in communication, signal processing, and beyond. 

Pre-Hackathon Events (June 22 – June 26): A series of virtual tutorials to help participants get started with quantum tools and methods:
1. Quantum Computing 101
2. Quantum Algorithms 
3. Quantum Error Correction
4. Quantum Hardware
Hackathon Activities (June 28 – July 1)
June 28:  (Online + In-Person)
Invited talks from experts at the intersection of quantum computing and information theory
Napkin Pitch Session – share initial ideas and project directions
June 29–30: Project development (virtually)
July 1 (Online + In-Person): Final project submissions & presentations

Eligibility

1. Teams can have 3-5 members. 
2. At least 2 members of the group must be current students
3. Individual participants may register and request to be matched with a team
