Our Philosophy: The Sweet November Over-Correction
At Du Fun Shiii, our matchmaking direction sits boldly between Cairo's two exhausting extremes. We are strictly against both casual hookup culture and "instant marriage" culture.
We are not here to facilitate disposable situationships, nor are we here to trap you in transactional salonat speed-running—where you are expected to judge a lifelong partner across two stiff living-room interviews while staring at a tray of juice. Our goal is to curate smart, creative, and psychologically safe environments designed for intentional, long-term-minded singles who want to actually know who they are building a life with before rushing to the finish line.
And let’s be honest: the second the temperature in Cairo drops to 22°C, the collective panic sets in. Everyone suddenly acts like the lead in a moody indie film, panic-buys oversized trench coats, blasts Cairokee on the balcony, and desperately hunts for a human blanket just to survive the winter.
The weather is giving romance. Your DMs are giving horror.
Welcome to Sweet November: The Cairo Over-Correction. Across two signature nights—Saturday, November 7th (The Kickoff) and Sunday, November 22nd (The Final Audit)—we are taking intentional connection offline. Drop your corporate armor, skip the awkward small talk, and step into a room structured behind the scenes with our in-house therapist to spark real, unscripted chemistry.
The Flow of the Night
Forget awkward mingling in the corner. We run the room on a tight, high-energy timeline designed so you meet everyone naturally:
🚪 6:30 PM — Check-In & Welcome: Arrive, grab your badge, and settle into Aura Space before the doors seal.
🧊 7:15 PM — The Question Swap: We kick off with a highly social, low-pressure icebreaker game to get the whole room laughing, debating, and dropping their winter guard.(⚠️ Strict Note: Doors lock at 7:15 PM sharp so our pairing math and rotations run seamlessly. Late arrivals are disqualified without a refund—respect Cairo’s evening traffic and leave early!)
⏳ 7:45 PM — Secret Ballot Speed Rounds: A series of short, structured one-on-one rotations designed to go deeper than "What do you do for a living?". Throughout the rounds, you will use our live Matchmaker Web App on your phone to privately submit your Connection Card—marking who you want to see again under our "friends & More" banner (whether as an intentional, long-term romantic match or a genuine friend). There is zero face-to-face awkwardness or rejection; we process the mutual matches and play matchmaker the next day.
☕ 9:00 PM — Mingle & Bites: We drop the structure and open the room. Enjoy a spread of premium finger foods and hot November coffee or tea while naturally gravitating back toward the people you felt a spark with during the rounds.
How the November Curation Works
To ensure the highest quality dynamics, tickets cannot be bought at the door, and you do not pick your own event date. By filling out this form, you are applying to our core Sweet November matchmaking pool for:
Round 1: Saturday, November 7th (The Kickoff)
Round 2: Sunday, November 22nd (The Final Audit)
We manually curate the guest list for each date based on age brackets, proximity, and overall group vibe to ensure your absolute best matches are sitting across from you.
The Du Fun Shiii Membership, Vetting & Ticket Fee
To protect the integrity of our guest list and ensure everyone in the room is serious about genuine connection:
The 200 EGP Vetting Fee (Paid Today): Joining our curation pool requires a one-time 200 EGP seasonal vetting fee. This pays for our manual background curation process and officially activates your profile in our matchmaking database for the season.(If the Nov 7th room hits capacity for your specific age bracket, your active membership automatically rolls over for priority placement on Nov 22nd and upcoming mixers).
Payment Proof: You must upload a screenshot of your 200 EGP payment transfer below to complete this application and activate your profile.(Already paid your 200 EGP seasonal vetting fee on another November form? Re-upload your original payment screenshot below so we can link your profiles without charging you twice).
The Flake Penalty: Because our speed rounds rely on exact numbers and balanced ratios, if you are invited to a mixer and fail to commit or ghost us for two consecutive invites, your membership will be permanently revoked, the vetting fee is non-refundable, and your profile will be removed from the active pool.
📍 Venue: Aura Space, Maadi (9 Street 251, Degla Square) —
