SACR Public survey on the Employment Services Amendment Bill

HAVE YOUR SAY: WHO SHOULD GET JOB OPPORTUNITIES IN SOUTH AFRICA?

Your voice matters. Help us speak to Parliament about jobs in South Africa.
INTRODUCTION
South Africa has a serious unemployment problem. Many South Africans are struggling to find jobs and support their families.

Government is proposing changes to the law that controls how employers hire people, including people who are not South African citizens.

The proposed law deals with important issues such as:

• Giving South Africans a fair chance to get jobs.
• Employing people from other countries. Job quotas in different industries.
• Checking whether foreign workers have permission to work.
• Making sure employers follow the law.
• Giving the Minister powers to make decisions about foreign workers.

South Africans for Constitutional Reform (SACR) wants to hear what you think.
We believe that South African citizenship must have meaning. South Africans must have a fair opportunity to work in their own country.
We also believe that everyone who comes to South Africa must follow our laws.
Your answers will help SACR prepare a public submission to Parliament.
This survey is ONLY for South African citizens.

SACR's public consultation closes on Monday, 02 November 2026, at 00:00.
