As our mechatronics expert, you will own the embedded control architecture of our hardware — from custom PCB design and industrial power systems through to the Linux application layer and IoT telemetry stack.
You will work across the full hardware-software boundary: designing production-grade boards, writing the firmware and application code that runs on them, and integrating everything with our physical fluid control systems. This is a hands-on role with genuine architectural ownership.
- Embedded systems & PCB design: Design and bring up custom embedded boards for our core product lines — specifying SoMs or microcontrollers appropriate to the application, managing power distribution, I/O protection, and DFM readiness for external manufacturing partners.
- Application & firmware development: Write the software that runs on our hardware — control logic, state machines, sensor integration, and communication layers between physical I/O and the application layer.
- IoT & telemetry: Implement device-to-cloud communication enabling remote monitoring, configuration, and diagnostics across deployed units.
- Industrial power & electrical: Design the electrical stack for our enclosures — 3-phase AC distribution, VFD motor control, DC logic supply, and hardware-level safety interlocks. Wire and validate control cabinets to IP65/67 standards.
- R&D: Evaluate and prototype new hardware, sensing, and actuation technologies to keep our systems ahead of the curve.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in embedded systems, industrial automation, or hardware product development
- Demonstrated experience designing and bringing up custom PCBs — SoM-based designs, mixed-signal boards, or similar (Altium, KiCad, or equivalent)
- Proficiency in Python and/or C/C++ for embedded Linux and microcontroller targets
- Working knowledge of 3-phase power, VFDs, and industrial electrical — including hands-on cabinet wiring and troubleshooting
- Valid Taiwan work permit (visa sponsorship is not available)
- Professional proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and English
- Experience with SoM or single-board-computer based product development
- Familiarity with industrial IoT protocols — MQTT, Modbus, RS-485, WebSockets
- Track record taking hardware from prototype through to manufacturing with external PCBA partners
- Experience designing microcontroller-based I/O layers alongside a Linux application layer
This role requires regular on-site work, so candidates should be comfortable commuting to our Neihu, Taipei City location.
The salary for this role will be determined based on a range of factors, including (but not limited to) work experience, education, relevant training, critical skills, and overall business needs. Time off and holiday entitlements follow standard Taiwanese labor laws. Sick leave is flexible.
