LEVANTE Hackathon 2026 Application

We are hosting a two-week virtual workshop and hackathon (July 6-17, 2026) that will prepare researchers to use the LEVANTE data to investigate cognitive development across the globe. Many talks, tutorials, and panel discussions taking place during the first week will be open to all. You do not need to apply to attend these public sessions. This application is to identify attendees for a limited number of spaces in the hackathon projects largely taking place in the second week. We expect to accept up to 25 participants and we will prioritize researchers based at LEVANTE partner sites for up to half of the spots. Overall, priority will be given to individuals based on interest in working with the LEVANTE data. Researchers from cognitive development, education, global developmental science, and computational backgrounds are encouraged to apply, as are early career trainees and researchers based in global majority countries. We will announce acceptances by late April (applications close March 31, 11:59 pm Pacific Time). Dates: July 6-17, 2026 see Schedule. Hackathon attendeees are expected to attend the full two-week program. Cost: Free Confirmed instructors: Mike Frank, Dana McCoy, Rogier Kievit, Mika Braginsky, Theresa Cheng, Ben Domingue, George Kachergis, Alvin Tan, and Lijin Zhang. Funded by the Jacobs Foundation.
