The Awkward Handshake's First Collab Lab!!

We are so excited to invite you our very first, Awkward Handshake Collab Lab!

When: Thursday, May 28th from 10am to 12pm (2 hours)
Where: Dovetail Cellars, 404 E Evergreen Blvd, Vancouver, WA 98660
What: A casual but structured networking event for people wanting to make better, more human connections. This time we're focusing on helping you connect with collaborators. Less "let me tell you what I do," more "here's exactly how I can help you."

Most networking events are a room full of people pretending they don't need anything. Collab Lab is different — we're flipping the script and making it safe to ask for what you actually need.

When you arrive, you'll get a Bingo sheet. The center square is your Ask — the one person, connection, or resource that would genuinely move the needle for you right now. The other squares will be filled in by other attendees who can move that needle.

There's also a spot for your Gift — a special offer, collab opportunity, or open door you're bringing to the table. Because the best collabs happen when everyone shows up with something to give.

Who: Your co-hosts include Mary Williams (founder of Sasquatch Media Grounds and Sensible Woo) and Megan Eckman (co-founder of Fat Cap and creator of PDX Spellbound).
We will run on time in our structured format for the 2 hours. Cafecito will have their amazing coffee available for purchase.
On the fence? We asked a few past attendees what they would tell others about our events: "This is a collection of like-minded folks brought together with the purpose of connection. It's curated and intentional. Make sure to have a deep conversation with someone, they want to have one with you!"
