National Leadership Application

Show Up. Level Up. Rise Up.

Legend2Legacy Foundation Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, owns and operates UpStart Sports Marketing Science LLC.

Thank you for your interest in joining our national leadership team. This application takes about 5 to 7 minutes. Most questions take a single tap. For written questions, a few clear, honest sentences are perfect.

Your answers help us understand your strengths, find the right fit for you, and plan the right next conversation with Coach TJ and our leadership team.

Our Mission

To empower youth through sports, education, and innovation that builds character, inspires greatness, and creates lasting legacies.

Legend2Legacy Foundation Inc. is a national 501(c)(3) youth football and flag football foundation building champions on and off the field. Football is where the journey begins. It is never where it ends.

Who we serve: Legend2Legacy exists for the student athlete who is often overlooked. The one from an underserved community. The one with a learning difference that a traditional program was not built to support. The one who has the talent and the heart, but not always the access. We serve boys and girls, with non-contact flag football for ages 7 through 18 and All-American showcase camps and events for ages 7 through 14, grades first through eighth. We serve coaches who want more tools to reach every kid on their roster, and parents who want a true partner. Wherever a young athlete is chasing a dream, in the United States, Mexico, or Canada, that is who we serve.

How we are built: UpStart Sports Marketing Science LLC is the engine room of Legend2Legacy, the operations arm that carries our vision into a daily practice for families across the country. UpStart houses every event we run, live and virtual, from The UP Championship Series to our National Town Hall Series.

Two Ways to Lead. One Team.

Tournament Director. This is a hands-on, incentive-based relationship role. Your responsibility is to generate teams for our events. You will do that through your personal football contacts, your social media, and by going into flag football forums on every platform to create organic relationships. There is no background version of this role.

Tournament Directors across the country work as a collective to fill every event, because we run one event at a time. Regions are assigned based on where each event is located. In some cases, more than one Tournament Director is assigned to an event to lead the volunteer staff. You will know those assignments well in advance, and members of our executive board will be on site with you.

National Team Mom Director. Open to moms, dads, and every team parent. This role is about advocating, organizing, and assisting everyone in the field, especially at our education events like our Town Halls. You will spread the word about our media and podcast network, may help market our events, and in some cases can take part in the incentive side of the business.

It takes a village. We do not put people in boxes. You can apply for one role, both roles, or let us help you find your fit.

What Makes Us Different

Every role is shaped around your strengths and built for you to grow with the organization. We design each position so it is never a burden. We want you to have fun building relationships.

These commitments are non-negotiable:

1. Our Onboarding 2.0 Playbook. The foundation of our organization. It equips you with talking points, shows you what makes us different, and lays out your set goals for your first 30, 60, 90, and 120 days and beyond.

2. Development with leadership. Our CEO and executive staff work closely with you on your development. You will check in with Coach TJ 2 to 3 times per week by phone or video call, for a minimum of 15 to 20 minutes each, to speed up your learning curve.

3. Team chat groups and meetings. You will actively participate in our team chat groups and team meetings. These are your meetings: hear updates on our growth and what comes next, and get to know your teammates.

4. Time commitment. A minimum of 8 hours per week, up to 12 to 13 hours.

Our main requirement for every role: going into flag football forums and groups on social media and creating organic relationships.

These commitments must be agreed to. We will go over everything during the interview process, and it will be spelled out in your individual agreement.

We are not looking for people on the sidelines watching. We are looking for people in activation mode, doing the work.
