KUUN ART — OPEN CALL 2026

THRESHOLDS OF BEING

We are living in a time of constant visibility — yet meaning often emerges in quieter transitions.

Thresholds of Being is a curatorial framework exploring these in-between states — where something ends, and something else begins to take form.

In 2026 — a Venice Art Biennale year — these thresholds become especially charged. As Venice turns into a global site of artistic convergence, this cycle unfolds in dialogue with a year shaped by movement, visibility, and international presence.

We are not looking for loud statements.

We are listening for what trembles quietly.

A LIVING, EVOLVING FRAMEWORK

Selected artists will be considered for one or more exhibitions unfolding throughout 2026 across four international contexts:

Venice — Spring 2026

During the Venice Art Biennale year, when the city becomes a global center for contemporary art and international collectors, curators, and institutions gather.

Amsterdam — June 2026

A focused exhibition context during early summer, offering space for research-driven and conceptually grounded practices.

Dubai — Autumn 2026

Within a fast-growing cultural landscape shaped by international dialogue and cross-cultural exchange.

Miami — December 2026

Coinciding with Miami Art Week and Art Basel Miami Beach, a moment of intense global visibility and art market convergence.

Each exhibition will articulate a distinct chapter within the overarching framework, shaped by location, timing, and curatorial dialogue.

Solo Exhibition Opportunity

As part of the 2026 cycle, two artists will be selected for a solo exhibition opportunity.

These solo presentations will emerge from the open call and be developed in close curatorial dialogue, aligning the artist’s practice with a specific city and context within the cycle.

Selection for a solo exhibition does not obligate participation.

IMPORTANT NOTES

This is a general open call for Kuun Art’s 2026 exhibition cycle. All mediums are accepted. Exhibitions may take place in Venice, Amsterdam, Dubai, or Miami depending on curatorial alignment.
