Nawakwa Lodge is the hosting the 2026 E9 Conclave at Camp T. Brady Saunders in late April and expects over 1,200 youth and adult Order of the Arrow members from across Virginia. Conclave is an annual weekend of fun, training, competition, and fellowship for OA members, and our opportunity to host only comes around every few years. The last time Nawakwa hosted was 2019.
To prepare for such a great opportunity, the Nawakwa Lodge is calling on all scouts and scouters to help get the camp ready. Volunteers do not need to be OA members. Scouts and adults from all programs (Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturing, and Sea Scouts) and their non-scouting guests are welcome to register and help.
Three weekends are available:
March 28
April 11
April 18
The March 28 event will be focused at the maintenance building so we are looking for older scouts for that Saturday. The other two Saturdays are focused on tasks around the property and will be great for those looking for service and conservation hours. Conclave workdays are also a great way to learn more about the Scout reservation and about the Order of the Arrow.
Each workday will run from 8:00-4:00 and lunch will be provided. OA members that help on two or more Saturdays will be eligible for a special lodge flap awarded only to those who help prepare the Scout Reservation for the Conclave or serve as staff during the event.
Participants need to bring a copy of their Scouting America Medical Form parts A&B. Also make sure to wear clothing for the weather, work gloves, and a full water bottle.
We hope to see you there at one or more of the weekends.
