MidTown Art Committee Interest Form

MidTown Reno is forming a Public Art Committee to help guide the MidTown Public Art Matching Grant Program and support the growth of public art throughout the neighborhood.

Committee members will help review grant applications, support selected projects, and serve as a Project Liaison to help businesses and artists successfully complete their public art installations.

Committee Responsibilities

Art Committee members may help with the following:

• Reviewing public art grant applications

• Helping select projects for funding

• Serving as a Project Liaison for one of the selected public art projects

• Helping businesses understand reporting and reimbursement requirements

• Supporting community engagement events related to the art installation

Availability

Art Committee members will attend occasional committee meetings throughout the year. Every committee member will be required to be available in the beginning of May to review the applications. In addition, each member may be assigned as a Project Liaison for one public art project.


As a Project Liaison, responsibilities may include:


• Serving as a point of contact for the business owner and artist

• Answering occasional questions related to the project

• Helping ensure required documentation and reporting are completed

• Attending or supporting the community event associated with the project (such as a meet-the-artist event or mural unveiling)
