The Pod is a casual, guided evening designed to bypass small talk and facilitate genuine conversation. It is a dedicated space to share real life experiences, listen actively, and connect with others over common threads in a low-pressure environment.
Important Note: This is a community-driven sharing circle, not a clinical setting or a group therapy session. There are no experts diagnosing or advising. It is simply a structured space for shared humanity, storytelling, and active listening.
How It Works
The Sort: We begin with a quick, low-stakes icebreaker to divide the room into small, diverse "pods" of 4 to 5 people. You won't be stuck talking to the same person all night.
The Pod Sharing: Inside your small group, a talking piece is used to ensure everyone gets an uninterrupted turn. When you register, you can opt to be a "Sharer" (bringing a specific story, challenge, or idea for 8-10 minutes) or a "Listener" (holding space and participating in brief reflections).
Co-Created Topics: The themes of the night are driven by the attendees. We explore the everyday experiences, transitions, and questions that matter most to the people in the room.
The Harvest: We close the evening by coming back together as a full group. Instead of repeating personal stories, we "harvest" the broader themes and insights that emerged across the different pods.
