Virtual Queen Annes Lace Workshop

Hello! Pialli! Thank you for your interest in learning about Queen Anne’s Lace aka Wild Carrot with me! During our time together we will go over the following: plant identification, poisonous lookalikes, Wild Carrot's medicinal uses, it's use in pregnancy prevention including dosage protocol, community knowledge sharing including tincture recipe and a group journaling exercise!

This workshop is meant for all those who are interested in learning about this plants medicine. That being said, this space is cultivated for those who are okay talking about the fertility cycle, pregnancy, abortion, and other topics within this genre of reproductive care.

There will be time reserved in the end for those who have experienced abortion or loss, and want to process any feelings that may have came up during the workshop. During this time all others will be asked to leave. I sternly ask you to keep personal stories safe within this space - do not share anyone's names or personal experiences. You are encouraged to share what you learned regarding Queen Annes Lace/Wild Carrot with people you trust within your community.

About the facilitator: Hellooo! My name is Air, I'm a land tender and full spectrum doula born and raised here in the pacific northwest. I use all pronouns, and identify as a de-tribalized, Indigenous-Chicana who is queer, passionate about liberation, food justice, and body autonomy. I am a full spectrum birthworker that started practicing officially in 2025, though I've been training and learning from various teachers since 2021. I began building my relationship with plants and my personal autonomy in high school, when I began drinking nervine teas to help with my anxiety and herbal decoctions to prevent pregnancy; since I hated the reactions I had to hormonal birth controls and therefore avoided birth control all together. Some plants I now have 12 years of intentional experience now, others since I was a kid observing my grandmother, daughter of a traditional midwife. Currently I operate a mini farm that grows produce and medicinal herbs for pregnant and postpartum people, including those who have recently miscarried or had an abortion. I donate produce to incarcerated pregnant mothers and local families affected by ICE as well. I'm not a non profit nor am I funded for this work - this has all been by the people for the people! You can learn more about my work on my website www.nurturetransition.com
I humbly ask you to consider the time put into this workshop, this sector of community care and herbal knowledge, and the ancestral knowledge it took to get here.
