Keti Koti Queer & Trans commemoration
July 1st marks the abolition of slavery. But for Queer and Trans people of the African diaspora, the fight for freedom is not over. We gather not just to commemorate, we gather to resist, to heal, and to claim the freedom that was always ours.
We come together at Oosterpark to honor our Queer and Trans ancestors. Those who came before us. Who were hidden, erased.. but never truly gone.
