Expected Itinerary:

Day 1 (8th Oct): Arrival in Surabaya → Sewu Hotel Touch down at Surabaya Airport and meet the OTG crew! We'll pile into our private transport and kick off the 4-hour drive to Sewu Hotel with a lunch stop along the way. Check in, grab dinner, and get some rest. Tomorrow starts early 🌿

Day 2 (9th Oct): Sewu Waterfall → Ijen Hotel Rise early and fuel up before a 1.5-hour morning trek through lush greenery to the majestic Sewu Waterfall. Fair warning, you will get wet, and it will be worth it 💦 After the trek, freshen up at the hotel before hitting the road for our 4-hour drive to the Ijen area, with lunch along the way. Check into the hotel, grab dinner, and sleep early. Tomorrow night, things get surreal.

Day 3 (10th Oct): Ijen Volcano → Mount Bromo Hotel This is the one you came for. We wake up at midnight, drive to Ijen, and begin our 2am hike into the crater! Gas masks on, headlamps lit. At the summit, witness the legendary electric blue flames glowing against the darkness before the sky turns golden at sunrise. It's genuinely one of the most otherworldly sights on Earth 🔵🌋

After descending, head back to the hotel for a much-deserved shower and rest. Have lunch, then drive to our Bromo hotel for the night. Grab dinner and rest up, one more sunrise to catch tomorrow.

Day 4 (11th Oct) : Mount Bromo → Surabaya (Departure) Pre-dawn, we hop into our private 4x4 Jeep and rumble out to the Bromo viewpoint. Watch the sun spill gold over the crater and the Sea of Sand below — it never gets old 🌅 After the sunrise, hike up to the crater rim for photos, then head back to the hotel for a shower and brunch. We'll make our way to Surabaya Airport or Ketapang Jetty for your journey home. See you on the next one 🤙

Recommended Flights:

Do be at the airport for pickup by 10am on the 30th April so that we can all leave together on time! Recommended flight is Singapore Airlines SQ922 (SG 0750hrs - SUB 0910hrs). If you choose to extend your trip early the meetup point is still Surabaya Airport!
For departure from Surabaya Airport we will reach the airport by 1630hrs on the 3rd of May 2026! The recommended flight is Singapore Airlines SQ8507 (SUB 1950hrs - SG 2315hrs).
