Fiction

Another Chicago Magazine seeks original stories that are preferably under 5,000 words but at a maxiumum of 8,000 words. For flash fiction, pieces should be under 1,001 words, and please send no more than three flash fiction pieces as one file at a time.

Please upload your document as either a PDF or Word document. On the first page, please include your name and email. Label your file name: (Last Name, First Name_Title of Work) / Ex. Smith, John_Short Story.

Simultaneous submissions
We accept simultaneous submissions, but please let us know if your work is accepted elsewhere.

We waive submission fees for BIPOC writers. Fiction written by BIPOC should be submitted here.
