Bring Magic Charity Team Waiver and Commitment Statement

The Bring Magic to Kids in Hospitals (Bring Magic) Charity Team reserves the right to revoke a participant’s eligibility to participate in the program if they fail to fulfill their minimum fundraising commitment or engage in conduct that harms the reputation of Bring Magic or its Charity Team program.

2027 CAPE TOWN MARATHON

Once you have completed and signed this Waiver and Commitment Statement, your application will be reviewed by Bring Magic. If approved, you will be offered one of Bring Magic's guaranteed charity entries for the 2027 Cape Town Marathon and will receive instructions for completing your official race registration and next steps.

By accepting a guaranteed entry through the Bring Magic Charity Team, I acknowledge and agree to raise the minimum fundraising commitment of $2,700. At least 50% of the fundraising minimum ($1,350) must be raised by February 1, 2027, with the remaining balance due by May 31, 2027.

If I do not raise the required minimum of $2,700 by May 31, 2027, I authorize Bring Magic to charge my credit card for the remaining balance due.

INJURY/INABILITY TO COMPETE

I understand that if I become injured or am unable to participate in or complete the race for any reason, I remain fully responsible for fulfilling the fundraising commitment outlined above. I further understand that charity entries are non-transferable and non-deferrable.

In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Bring Magic Charity Team, I, for myself, my heirs, executors, and personal representatives, hereby release and discharge Bring Magic, its Charity Team, affiliates, agents, employees, officers, directors, successors, and assigns from any and all liability for injuries, death, or damages arising from or connected with my participation, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

I hereby grant full permission to any of the foregoing to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of this program for any legitimate purpose, without monetary payment to me.

I am physically fit and sufficiently trained to participate in this program and recognize the risks involved, and I intend this release to assume full responsibility for anything that might happen to me.

ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

No prorates or refunds will be issued for any reason, including injury or inability to participate, once participation in the program has begun.

Charity entries are non-transferable and cannot be deferred to a future race.

Official race registration for the 2027 Cape Town Marathon is not included in this waiver and must be completed separately using the registration instructions provided by Bring Magic. By completing this waiver, you acknowledge the fundraising commitment required to participate in the Bring Magic Charity Team. Submission of this waiver does not guarantee acceptance. If approved, you will receive instructions from Bring Magic regarding the next steps.
