Touché a Heart, CPR & Heart Health Awareness

Join us Sunday, October 18 at 12 PM in David Lawrence Hall, Room 107 for an afternoon of learning how to respond in a cardiac emergency and support someone experiencing cardiac arrest.

In the U.S., more than 350,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests occur each year, and immediate bystander CPR can double or even triple a person’s chance of survival. Learning how to recognize cardiac arrest and respond with CPR can make a life-saving difference.

Hosted by Pitt Fencing Club in collaboration with the American Heart Association, this free event will feature hands-on CPR training led by AHA volunteers, along with education about cardiac arrest, heart health, and the importance of being prepared, especially in athletic settings.

This event supports the American Heart Association’s Leader of Impact campaign. Attendance is free, but if you are able, we would greatly appreciate your support of the campaign and its work advancing heart health and lifesaving research.

Open to Pitt students, graduate students, club athletes, and the public.
