Expression of Interest · Pilot experience
Facilitated by Shaun Ruggunan, PhD
Certified Integral Coach (Centre for Coaching, University of Cape Town)
As academics, our professional identities often become closely intertwined with our teaching, research, publications and institutional responsibilities. The Rooms I Choose: Beyond the Academic Self offers an opportunity to reflect on who we are beyond these roles.
This small-group, research-informed creative reflection experience combines guided conversation, Lego and art-based activities, gentle somatic awareness and metaphor to explore identity, belonging, resilience, renewal and meaningful living.
It is not a conventional professional development or productivity session. Rather, it is an opportunity to reflect, create, connect and consider which parts of our lives we wish to preserve, reclaim or reimagine.
Location: Durban, KwaZulu-Natal (exact venue to be confirmed)
Date: To take place before 15 February 2027
