Part of the 2025-2026 ReEntry Lab Residency at the University of Minnesota's Liberal Arts Engagement Hub. These workshops are free and open to anyone 18 and over.
We're going to explore some different ways to create poetry through visual art, including collage, erasure, drawing/coloring, and visual design. Don't worry! We're not doing anything you haven't at least tried since probably preschool. This workshop is more practical and hands-on than it is discussion and presentation—a chance to get your hands into your work and come out with something that may be new to you.
You will receive an email shortly before your workshop with more details.
The workshop will be held in Pillsbury Hall, Room 120 (the Liberal Arts Engagement Hub), 310 Pillsbury Drive SE, Minneapolis. If you sign up but can't make it, please let us know!
Masks are recommended and will be available onsite.
All are welcome to register for and attend these writing workshops!
We ask this question to help us know how and who we're reaching, for future planning and reports. Once the workshop is over, we will keep aggregate, anonymized information on attendees (number & types of impact, separate from names).
You are welcome to leave this set to the default ("indirectly impacted"), which has been chosen to help clarify that every member of society is affected by the existence and operation of our current systems of incarceration.
