Founding Creator and Social Media Associate

About the Role

LINEAL is a brand new startup building Europe’s first structured 1v1 basketball championship—and, the operating layer for all 1v1 sports.

We are entering a major phase and will soon make an announcement that reflects both the belief behind LINEAL and the scale of what we intend to build.

We are looking for a Founding Creator and Social Media Associate to capture the journey and make people want to follow it.

This is not a job for someone who enjoys spending their days turning corporate talking points into another forgettable LinkedIn carousel—or producing videos that collect a few meaningless likes before disappearing forever on social media.

We want a video content producer with a creator mindset.

You will work shoulder-to-shoulder with our founders, professional athletes, ambassadors and creative partners—owning the entire content journey from the first wild idea to the final upload.

And this is not a “send us the footage” kind of job. You will be where the story happens: courtside, backstage and on the road at most—ideally all—LINEAL events. That means our home bases in Antwerp and Barcelona, plus wherever else Lineal may land.

Yes you got it, this might be the coolest job you've seen in a while.Customer first Sponsors, fans and viewers validate what we do. We build for them, not for us.
What You Will Own Own and grow LINEAL’s social media channels. Plan and publish a continuous flow of content. Film and edit trailers, highlights, interviews, Reels, Shorts, Stories and longer-form videos. Turn athletes, rivalries, rankings and title fights into stories people want to follow. Create recurring formats around events, athletes and life behind the scenes. New initiatives that capttures mire eyeballs (i.e. a podcast, hosting fight nights at festivals,...) Event Coverage

You will own content production around LINEAL fight nights, camps, showcases and athlete shoots.

Everything must be captured from A to Z - From live streams to mini after movies:

Walkouts and introductions Every match Crowd and athlete reactions Sponsor and partner moments Belt ceremonies and championship scenes Wins, losses, celebrations and disappointment The unplanned moments everyone remembers

Before each event, you will identify the key athletes and storylines, create the production plan and shot list, and coordinate extra camera or photography support when needed.

One event should never produce one recap.

It should create trailers, highlights, interviews, character moments and enough content to keep the LINEAL story moving for weeks.

Who We Are Looking For

A social media manager with a few years of experience who wants to stop just posting content and start producing significant stuff. A recent graduate in film, media or communications A self-taught creator with strong personal work A freelancer or junior professional with a few years of experience Ideally, someone who has already built and grown social media projects independently

We care more about your portfolio, taste and ambition than a long CV filled with brands nobody remembers.

Values Customer first Sponsors, fans and viewers validate what we do. We build for them, not for us. JFDI

Don't waste time procrastinating - Just F'ing do it, make mistakes, learn from it.

Take a punch—and throw a jab

You will work in a fast-moving startup surrounded by athletes, freelancers, partners, viewers and strong personalities.

A partner may dislike your edit. A viewer may leave a nasty comment. A colleague may act up.

Do not collapse. Speak up. Stick and move.

Startup Passion

Bring energy. Get to know to the people you work with. Build real relationships with teammates, athletes and partners—because the best stories come from trust.

We are not looking for AI in human form: polished, efficient and ready to virtue signal.

Results first If you believe after dark is your most efficient time, then go for it batman. We honestly don't care, if you 'physically' show up when you need to and get the job done, choose the hours that work best for you.

Working Arrangements

The role can be full-time or part-time.

Most work can be done remotely, but you must be available for regular onsite meetings, athlete shoots and LINEAL events. Travel will increase as LINEAL enters new cities and markets.

Events often take place on Friday evenings, with a limited number during weekends. An average event lasts three to four hours, excluding preparation and post-event filming.

You will be court-side, backstage, on the road and around professional athletes—not permanently trapped behind a desk.
