It will bring together an Australia-wide business directory and practical business resource hub in one affordable ecosystem, helping Australians discover and support independent businesses while giving the people behind those businesses the tools to grow, market themselves and become easier to find.

And we’re deliberately keeping membership at just $9/month.

About Shorty & Fee

We’re Shorty and Fee — an Aussie husband-and-wife duo on a soul mission to support humanity and our fellow Australians to grow, build, live and thrive more independently.

Together, we’re the humans behind Soil to Soul Australia, our online learning community where we share practical knowledge around self-sufficiency, traditional food skills, natural wellness, growing food, processing meat, low-tox living and becoming more capable in our everyday lives.

And between the two of us, our skillsets are a bit of a mixed bag of awesomeness!

Meet Shorty

Ashley — better known as Shorty — is a butcher and trainer by trade, a lifelong livestock and cattle farmer, and a passionate researcher of traditional food knowledge.

With 27+ years of knowledge and lived experience, Shorty teaches people how to work with what they have, create greater sustainability from their land, understand where their food comes from, and safely and confidently process their own meat.

His knowledge isn't just something learned from books. It comes from decades of actually doing the work, living it and teaching it.

Meet Fee

Fiona — Fee — brings another very different set of skills to the table.

For 26+ years, Fee has studied and researched natural medicinal ingredients, plant-based wellness and traditional food skills, with a deep interest in bringing practical, traditional knowledge back into everyday homes.

Then there's her other hat.

Fee is an experienced business mentor, marketing strategist and graphic designer who has spent more than 16 years supporting small businesses, with a particular focus on healers, holistic practitioners and heart-led business owners.

Her work centres around helping people understand their business at a deeper level, communicate what they do clearly, build strong brands and become more visible — without losing the human being behind the business in the process.

Together...

We support our community as Self-Sufficiency Coaches, using our online platforms to educate, share practical skills, bring awareness to different ways of doing things and help people become more confident and capable in their own lives.

And that's exactly where Soul Tribe Collective fits into our bigger mission.

Self-sufficiency isn't only about growing your own food or learning how to make things yourself.

To us, it's also about building stronger independent businesses, supporting local skills and knowledge, keeping money circulating through our communities, creating opportunities for one another and becoming less reliant on systems that don't always serve small businesses well.

Soul Tribe allows us to bring both sides of our experience together.

Shorty brings the practical, land, food and self-sufficiency world. Fee brings the business, marketing, design, healing and holistic business world.

Together, we're building a place that helps Australians find and support the people doing good work — while giving those businesses practical tools to build, grow and thrive.

Because we'd much rather see a small business, sole trader, partnership, family business or independent Aussie operator succeed than see another good human get lost underneath the noise of the big end of town.

Who is Soul Tribe for?

Soul Tribe Collective is being created for Australian businesses that genuinely care about the people they serve.

That might include:

- Healers and energy practitioners

- Holistic health and wellness businesses

- Natural health and wellbeing practitioners

- Heart-led and purpose-led businesses

- Self-sufficiency educators and businesses

- Growers, makers and producers

- Traditional food and practical skills educators

Because we want to see more people supporting people.

Visitors will be able to search the directory by things such as business type and location, making it easier to intentionally find independent Australian businesses that align with what they're looking for.

That means someone searching for a healer, holistic practitioner, heart-led business or self-sufficiency service doesn't have to hope the right Instagram account happens to appear in their feed.

They can come looking for you.

And whether you're based in Sydney or a tiny regional community, you'll have somewhere to be found.

A much more affordable way to have an online presence

Not every small business is ready for — or even needs — a multi-thousand-dollar website.

For $9/month, Soul Tribe gives you another way to establish an online presence and direct people towards your services, offers and existing platforms without needing to build an entire website first.
