🔥 This role is for builders who have taken GTM from 0 to 1 at a startup. You've owned real execution, not just the tooling: you've created an entire GTM strategy, taken the initiative to launch it, and built the systems that made it work.

📍 Location
This is a remote role based in New York City. You should live in the New York City area. You'll work closely with our NYC sales team on the ground and with our San Francisco team.

a1mobile is building the AI-native carrier for businesses.

We're rebuilding the carrier layer, bringing mobile, landline, and AI phone systems together. Every business number should answer, understand, take action, and follow up.

Our first product, a1mobile One, is one business line for $99/month: unlimited calls and texts, 5G data, and an AI receptionist built into the carrier itself. It answers every call and text 24/7, takes bookings and orders, sends quotes and follows up. Our customers are small service businesses: restaurants, cafes, salons, studios, contractors, and hotels.

We recently raised an $11.5M seed round led by General Catalyst, with backing from Menlo Ventures, SV Angel, Commerce Ventures, and other leading investors.

We're looking for a GTM Engineer to build and run the go-to-market engine for our New York launch. You'll combine engineering skills with real go-to-market execution: shape the strategy, build the machine behind it, and own the results.

🧭 Experience we're looking for
• Real 0-to-1 GTM execution at a startup: you've taken a product, market, or channel from zero to real traction, and can show the results.
• 2+ years in GTM engineering, revenue operations, growth engineering, or a technical sales or marketing operations role.

🛠 What you'll do
• Create and own entire GTM strategies for New York: which neighborhoods and business types we target, which channels we use, what we say, and how we measure it.
• Take the initiative: spot the next growth lever, build it, launch it, and share what worked, without waiting for a plan.
• Build automated prospecting and enrichment workflows to find and prioritize small businesses across NYC.
• Own our CRM setup, data model, and integrations.
• Create AI-powered workflows for outreach, lead scoring, routing, and follow-up.
• Build dashboards that show pipeline, conversion, and channel performance.
• Connect product usage data with our sales and marketing tools.
• Partner with our NYC sales team, Marketing, and Customer Success to remove manual work and help them close faster.

🎯 What we're looking for
• A track record of real execution: you've built something from 0 to 1 at a startup, not just maintained a mature process.
• The ability to create a full GTM strategy and turn it into shipped campaigns, systems, and results.
• Strong initiative: you spot what needs to happen and make it happen without waiting to be told.
• Strong scripting skills in Python or JavaScript, and comfort with APIs and webhooks.
• Hands-on experience with tools like Clay, HubSpot or Salesforce, and Zapier, Make, or n8n.
• Experience using LLMs in real production workflows.
• Solid SQL skills and a habit of keeping data clean.
• A team player who communicates openly, shares knowledge, and collaborates closely with others.
• The flexibility to adapt and keep pace with a fast-moving startup.

➕ Nice to have
• Experience as one of the first GTM hires at a startup.
• Experience launching a product in a new city or market.
• Experience with data warehouses or reverse ETL.
• Experience in telecom or with SMB go-to-market.
• Knowledge of the NYC small business market.
