2027 Individual Artist Application

Arts Ottawa Awards celebrate artists, creatives, arts and culture workers, organizations, and businesses whose work enriches communities through creativity, connection, and cultural contribution.

We welcome nominees from all artistic and creative disciplines, including artists, creatives, arts and culture workers, and those engaged in interdisciplinary, emerging, community-based, collaborative, and hybrid practices. If you do not see the correct discipline or artist pathway reflected in the categories below, please describe it in your own words.

Please note that when we refer to "community" throughout this application, we encourage you to interpret that term in the way that is most meaningful to your experience. Artists often belong to, contribute to, and are connected with many communities. Your impact may be reflected in a neighbourhood, cultural community, artistic discipline, identity-based community, professional network, or other communities that are important to you. When describing your work, we invite you to define and discuss the community or communities that are most relevant to your practice/work.

You do not need professional grant-writing experience to complete this application. We encourage authentic, personal responses over polished language. We want to hear your story.

You do not need previous awards, grants, or formal recognition to be a strong nominee. First-time applicants are encouraged to apply.
