A 10-Day National Virtual Litigation Boot Camp for Law Students, Recent Graduates & Emerging Advocates
ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
The Litigator’s Edge is a national, intensive and practical virtual litigation boot camp designed to bridge the gap between the theoretical study of law and the practical demands of litigation, advocacy and legal practice.
The inaugural edition brings together law students and emerging advocates from universities across Nigeria for ten days of intensive learning, practical exercises and professional engagement with experienced practitioners, academics, Senior Advocates and other distinguished professionals.
The programme is hosted by the Malabor Bar Association, University of Calabar, in collaboration with participating Law Students’ Bar Associations and legal student bodies from:
University of Calabar (UNICAL) • University of Uyo (UNIUYO) • Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) • Imo State University (IMSU) • Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) • Rivers State University (RSU) • University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) • Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) • University of Benin (UNIBEN)
The participating institutions constitute the inaugural institutional partnership behind The Litigator’s Edge, with the Malabor Bar Association, University of Calabar, serving as the Host Institution and principal coordinating body for the inaugural edition.

Over the course of the Boot Camp, participants will explore:
Civil Litigation • Criminal Litigation • Legal Drafting • Courtroom Advocacy • Legal Research • Critical Thinking & Legal Reasoning • Trial Strategy • International Investment Arbitration • Practical Litigation & Advocacy Skills
The programme will feature expert-led masterclasses, practical workshops, case analysis, drafting exercises, advocacy challenges, research assignments, interactive sessions and professional experience-sharing.
At The Litigator’s Edge, we believe that knowing the law is only the beginning. The effective advocate must also know how to think, research, draft, argue, strategise and apply the law in practice.
