To be completed by the Coach, Manager or Club Organiser only.
A protest is only admissible if all three of these happen within 30 minutes of the end of the game:
1. Your team captain tells the Venue Manager you are protesting, and signs the scoresheet in the protest field.
2. This form is submitted.
3. The $550.00 protest fee is paid. It is refunded if the protest is upheld.
What happens next: the Venue Manager tells the other team's captain and gives them a copy of your protest. They have 30 minutes to reply. The Protest Committee will not decide until it has their reply or the 30 minutes have passed.
27.1. A team may file a protest if they believe that their interests have been adversely affected by:

27.1.1. A decision to forfeit, or default the game.
27.1.2. A violation of the applicable eligibility rules.
27.2. In order to be admissible, a protest shall comply with the following procedure:
27.2.0. The captain of the team shall, no later than 30 minutes following the end of the game, inform the Venue Manager that their team is protesting against the result of the game and sign the scoresheet in the protest field.
27.2.1. The team shall submit the protest in writing no later than 30 minutes following the end of the game.
27.2.2. A fee of $550.00 shall be applied to the protest and shall be paid prior to the protest being investigated.
27.2.2.0. If the protest is upheld then the $550.00 shall be refunded.
27.2.2.1. If the protest is rejected it shall be forfeited.
27.3. Protest Committee.
27.3.0. On receipt of an admissible protest the Protest Committee shall be convened, comprising the Co-Founders of HoopNation, or their nominated agent[s], and the Officials' Manager.
27.3.1. A member of the Committee who is affiliated to either team, or who officiated the game, shall stand down and the remaining members shall appoint a replacement from the HoopNation management team.
27.3.2. The Committee shall decide the protest by majority. Its decision is final and there is no further appeal.
27.4. Right of reply.
27.4.0. The Venue Manager shall notify the captain of the team protested against as soon as the protest is lodged and provide them with a copy of the written protest.
27.4.1. The team protested against may submit a written reply to the Venue Manager no later than 30 minutes following that notification. No fee applies to a reply.
27.4.2. The Committee shall not decide the protest before the reply is received or the 30 minutes has passed, whichever is first.
27.4.3. The Committee may hear from either team, the officials and the bench crew before deciding.
6.2.4. Eligibility exemption (selection after registration). A player's status as a Representative or National Age-Group Athlete is determined as at the close of registrations on 31 August 2026. A player who was registered to their team before being selected, and who has an exemption confirmed in writing by the Tournament Director, is not an ineligible player. A protest against a player with a confirmed exemption may only challenge whether the conditions for the exemption were met.
