Hi, I’m Carl.

I started as a Founding Designer and Product Designer at early-stage startups, then spent 6 years recruiting designers at Meta. Over the last decade, I’ve helped scale teams at Meta, early-stage startups, and fast-growing companies.

That means I look at your work the way a designer does, and I know what founders and hiring managers want to see. I built X2Talent, and today my teammate Mahin and I connect designers, creatives, and design engineers with Series A to C startups, through a real relationship instead of a form that goes nowhere.

What happens after you apply 1. We review your LinkedIn and portfolio. 2. If there’s a strong match with a role I’m working on, I’ll reach out to set up a call and share the details, usually within [3] business days. Feel free to follow up with me anytime. 3. If we’re not sure yet, we may ask to see more of your work, or Mahin, our talent partner, may set up a short intro call. Either way, I’m happy to give you advice along the way. 4. If there isn’t a match right now, you may not hear back from us. We review every submission, but we can’t reply to everyone, and we’d rather be upfront about that than leave you waiting. You’ll stay in the Collective, and we’ll reach out when a role fits.

We do this because we know you’re busy, and we only want to get on a call when there’s a real chance of a match.
