For this show, I’m asking artists to price their pieces well below what they would normally sell them for. Around half your usual price is a good starting point, or less if you’re comfortable. Please choose work you feel good about offering that way.
Here’s why this matters to me. Someone is setting aside money and coming to our show to support Peer Spokane and the people it helps. I think there’s something special about that, and I want us to do something generous for them, too.
Some people will have a small budget. Some may never have bought local art before. I’d love for them to find several pieces they can afford and maybe take home more than one. Smaller pieces and prints can help make that possible, too.
You’ve put time, skill, and care into your work. Offering it at this price is part of your gift… to the charity and to the person taking it home. My hope is that they’ll enjoy living with your art, feel connected to the person who made it, and eventually come back to buy more at your regular prices when they can.
The show is volunteer-run, and 100% of art sale proceeds go to Peer Spokane.
If you’re unsure about pricing, I’m happy to talk it through with you. We’ll never change your price without asking you.
