To achieve this, it is vital that all tutors understand the depth of their responsibilities. This document serves as a comprehensive guide to ensure that every tutor applicant is fully aware of the expectations and obligations involved.

By signing this document, you are committing to uphold the values and standards of Mentor Match, and acknowledging that you understand the responsibilities listed below.

As a Mentor Match Tutor, your primary responsibility is to deliver high-quality tutoring sessions in Math, Science, and/or English. You will be interacting with students on a one-on-one basis, providing tailored support, addressing individual learning needs, and tracking progress.

What You’ll Get

Fixed Full-Time Salary (Grades 6–10): 7.2 LPA base pay + up to 1.8 LPA performance incentives

Fixed Full-Time Salary (Grades 11–12): 9.6 LPA base pay + up to 1.8 LPA performance incentives

Stable, long-term role: 6-day working week with a clear growth path

Impact at scale: Help students crack IGCSE/CCSS math with confidence


Working Days & Hours

Days: Monday to Saturday (mandatory 6-day week)

Timings: 2 PM to 11 PM

Weekly off: Sunday

Interview Process Overview:  

Round 1 Mock demo : It will include a mock teaching session and subject knowledge test, lasting 60 minutes.

Subject Knowledge Assessment :Your subject knowledge, teaching ability, communication skills, and professionalism.

Key Areas of Focus During the Interview:

- Preparedness: Have relevant materials, examples, and strategies ready.

- Professional Appearance: Dress professionally, with neat grooming and minimal makeup. Ensure a polished look.

- Posture: Maintain a straight sitting posture, with 60% of your body visible on camera. Use a clean, non-distracting background.

- Functional Setup: Ensure your laptop, headset, and other tools are working properly. Use a proper table and chair for the interview.

- Communication: Speak grammatically correct English, with clear pronunciation and minimal mother tongue influence.

- Confidence: Teach confidently, without hesitation, and deliver content with clarity.

- Rapport Building: Start with an icebreaker to create a positive learning environment.

- Subject Knowledge: Your explanations should be accurate and clear, free of conceptual errors.

- Subject Knowledge Test: Marks will be based on your test performance. Ensure your camera and mic are on, and your screen is shared during the test.

- Content Delivery & Engagement: Prompt students to talk and interact during the session.

- Whiteboard Usage: Use the whiteboard throughout the session with legible handwriting.

- Summary: Conclude by summarizing key points and asking open-ended questions.

Key Responsibilities

Create Tailored Content Develop customized learning materials based on the content provided by the student. Ensure the content is tailored to meet the student’s specific learning needs and goals. (MM does not provide content)

Student-Centered Tutoring:

Conduct engaging and personalised sessions that address the individual needs of students.

Homework: Create and upload homework after every session.
Study Plan: A study plan needs to be made at the start of every month or at the beginning of a new package. All study plans need to be updated on a regular basis.
Chapter-End Test: Create and conduct a test at the end of every chapter.
If a chapter isn't finished by month-end, test the completed portion.
Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM):
A Parent-Teacher Meeting needs to be conducted once a month for every student assigned to a teacher.

Payment Schedule:

Salary will be Processed on the 5th of each month for the previous month's Classes

Deduction : 10% TDS

Training & Onboarding

You will be required to complete the Mentor Match training program prior to starting any sessions.

The training program is 4 days long( 4 hours : 2 hours self paced and 2hours live) During this training, you will be introduced to: - Conducting Demo and Regular Classes

- The platform (LMS) used for scheduling and managing sessions.

- Techniques for effective online teaching and engaging students.

- Customer Success reporting requirements, including session feedback and progress reports.
