We send project files (stems/zips) via WeTransfer/Dropbox/Google Drive.

We use a cloud-based DAW (e.g., Soundtrap, BandLab).

Missing Plugins: "They used a plugin I don't have, so the sound won't load."

Version Confusion: "I don't know if 'Project_Final_v3.mp3' is actually the latest version."

Large File Sizes: Waiting for gigabytes of stems to upload/download.

Feedback Context: Receiving notes like "fix the bass in the middle" but not knowing exactly which bar they mean.

Stem Alignment: Importing stems and they don't line up with the grid/tempo.

Google Docs Style (Real-Time): We are both in the project moving notes at the exact same time.

GitHub Style (Async): I work on my version, push changes, and you review/merge them later.

Seat-Locking: Only one person can edit at a time to prevent conflicts.

Never / I prefer chatting in Discord/WhatsApp.

Private Mode: Only I see the AI options until I choose one to "commit" to the shared project.

Public Mode: My collaborator sees the AI generating options in real-time with me.
