Quinta dos Corgos, together with Lobo Azul, is organizing an inspiring Detection Training Workshop Day!

Detection work is used worldwide in professional fields such as police and customs for locating money, narcotics, and explosives. In addition, detection is a growing dog sport, with exams and international competitions.

What many people don’t know: detection training has been proven to boost a dog’s confidence, focus, and enjoyment of work.

During this workshop, you and your dog will learn the basics of detection training:

* Theory about detection training

* Reward-based methods

* Teaching an alert/indication

* Scent recognition

* The first steps towards search work

Everything is built up step by step in a dog-friendly way.
