1. The fees for the classes as selected on the Registration Form will be paid on a monthly basis into the bank account of AIM Dance Academy: ABSA Bank, Branch Code: 632005, Account No: 410 265 3666, or alternatively by cash (furnished in an envelope clearly marked with your details) by the 1st day of each month. All fees are to be paid in advance (e.g. 1st of February for February). If payment is due over a weekend, payment should be done on the following working day.
2. The first payment, being the registration fee of R100, will be due upon registration; and the
second payment, being the first month’s fees, must be paid in full on the 1st of January for
January or on the first day of the month in which classes start and will automatically continue until 1 December, or until the Agreement is terminated with one calendar month’s written notice.
3. December’s fees must be paid in full and must be paid by the 1st of December.
4. Interest of 5% of the amount owed will be charged per week that payment is late after the
7th of each month.
5. AIM Dance Academy reserves the right to deny admission to any student with outstanding
fees.
6. One calendar month’s written notice is required in order to terminate this Agreement.
7. AIM Dance Academy reserves the right to cancel the Agreement and to terminate the dance
class services offered if fees are overdue for more than two months.
8. The parent/s or guardian/s of the student are responsible and liable for the payment of the
fees as set out above, jointly and severally.
9. Participation in AIM Dance Academy classes and related activities are voluntary. All dance
classes, training, shows, competitions, events, other activities and related traveling and
accommodation are done at own risk.
10. AIM Dance Academy and its owners, directors, teachers, staff, volunteers and representatives are hereby indemnified and held harmless by you and will not be held responsible or liable for any injuries, illnesses, deaths, losses, theft of property, damage to
property, damages and/or other claims sustained by the student, parent/s and/or guardian/s of any nature whatsoever whilst participating in or attending any and all dance classes, training, shows, competitions, events, other activities and related traveling and accommodation.
11. The parent or legal guardian gives their consent and permission for the student to
participate in all AIM Dance Academy dance classes, activities and events mentioned above,
and to use the student’s image whether in photographs or videos on social media, online
platforms and for advertising purposes.
12. AIM Dance Academy will not be held responsible or liable for cancelling dance classes and all other activities and events mentioned above due to unforeseen events or circumstances outside of its control, such as illness, disease, pandemic, natural disasters, power outages and water outages. Dance classes and other activities and events may then be taught or participated in online in so far as this may be reasonably possible or viable.
13. The student will not attend dance classes at another studio whilst registered with AIM Dance Academy and attending dance classes, except in the case that the genre is not available at AIM Dance Academy. In the event of a breach of this condition, AIM Dance Academy reserves the right to terminate the Agreement with immediate effect with no further dance classes and other activities and events offered to the student and with no refund payable.
14. The student and the parent/s and/or guardians will respect AIM Dance Academy’s copyright to its own choreography in various genres and the steps, movements, sequences and/or dances performed based on this choreography. Prior written permission must be obtained from AIM Dance Academy for the use of its choreography for any dance classes, activities, events and/or competitions outside of AIM Dance Academy’s dance classes, activities, events and/or competitions. AIM Dance Academy may refuse such permission or grant such permission subject to certain terms and conditions, at its sole discretion.
