Trans Pride Manchester Zine Project Submission Form
Welcome campers! We're so happy that you're interested in contributing your wonderful work to our project!
As you should already be aware, this is a collaborative project for our amazing community, with the goal of celebrating everything that encompasses experiencing and living being trans. The project will be running 9 prompts spanning 9th February-30th June 2026.
Works submitted will be reviewed to make sure they are within our guidelines. All eligible pieces will be displayed in digital copies of the zine and a select amount from these will be printed in our physical run.
Please read our guidelines and additional details before proceeding with your submission!
1. You may submit for every prompt
2. You may submit multiple pieces per prompt
3. All mediums are accepted (and encouraged!) this includes: essays, ttrpgs, drawing/paintings (of any variety), live art, photography, poetry, comics, short stories, etc
4. No use of AI will be permitted
5. No hate speech or bigotry* (For submissions to reflect lived experiences, these may be mentioned but cannot be used with the intention of harming others)
6. While we will accept pre-existing work, we heavily encourage all artists interested in submitting to engage and work alongside us to make new pieces throughout the project's run with the intention of contributing to this zine specifically!
7. SFW and NSFW are permitted* (please read additional details for a full breakdown of how this will work)
8. Submissions may span 1-2 pages, we ask that they are standard A5 (with allowance of 3mm bleed if you are interested in being selected for physical print) at 300dpi (RGB is fine but we may ask for CMYK if you are chosen for print)
9. Please submit these as either JPEG or PNGs, if your medium of choice is not able to be submitted via these file types (such as ttrpgs, animations or live art) please provide a PDF or chosen thumbnail/page layout with a link to your piece!
10. Please include any potential content warnings alongside your submission
- We will be posting two versions of the digital zine and one print copy:
1 SFW digital zine (Open to everyone)
1 NSFW digital zine (18+)
- If you are above the age of 18 you will have the opportunity to submit your work for a chance to be included in the printed copy of the zine regardless of content. Unlike the digital copies, this one will include a selection process. We will be striving to include as diverse a group of voices as possible in our print run.
(This has been decided to make sure everyone in our community may take part while keeping everyone involved as safe as possible!)
- 4 pieces per prompt will be chosen for print
- If you are chosen for print, you will receive a base payment of £25 for your contribution, with potential to increase based on sales threshold.
- As stated above, all submissions will be included in digital copies of the zine, this is not a competition! We will have space to celebrate and showcase everyone's art, so please do not stress, overthink or compare your work to others.
- We will be hosting workshops once a month and weekly space in our discord server for contributors to talk and work alongside each other. We encourage our campers to get to know one another, discuss what they're making and take inspiration from other members of the community to make this as collaborative as possible!
- All contributors that are chosen for print will receive a free copy of the zine!
- We would strongly prefer that everyone who submits waits until after the digital zines have been released before posting their work to their own social media platforms, however, if you would like to share it with us and others (especially in our server zine space) you are free to do so!
