Welcome
Hello,
I am Oumalkaire, a student at Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU). I am currently conducting a research project for my Final Year Project titled: "Developing an Acoustic Engine Fault Detection and Large Language Model Diagnostic System for Equitable Repair."
The purpose of this survey is to collect insights from drivers particularly those who may feel disadvantaged by technical explaination to understand the challenges faced during vehicle maintenance. My research focuses on "Autoguard AI," a mobile application designed to bridge the "information gap" between mechanics and non-expert car owners. By using acoustic analysis to identify engine faults and a Large Language Model (LLM) to provide fair-pricing advice, this system aims to protect users from financial exploitation and technical confusion.
Participants will be asked to answer a short set of questions regarding their experiences with auto repairs and their openness to using AI-driven diagnostic tools. This survey will not collect any personally identifiable information, and all responses will remain strictly anonymous. The data collected will be used solely for academic purposes as part of my Final Year Project and will assist in evaluating the relevance and effectiveness of the proposed system.
Thank you very much for your time and for sharing your valuable perspectives.
Sincerely,
Oumalkaire Aboubakar
