Volunteer with UBC

The Ultimate Bowls Championship 2026, hosted by Deer Park Club, will run from Monday 7 to Thursday 10 December, and we’d love your help to make it another unforgettable event.

We have two key volunteer roles available, with full training provided and no experience needed. Our team will be nearby throughout the Championship to offer support and answer any questions.

Shot Clock Operator Sit in the best seat in the house, right at the end of the rink! Your job is simply to start and stop the 30-second timer for each delivery. It’s an easy role but keeps the game moving and gives you prime viewing of the action.

On-Rink Scorer

Be right there in the thick of it! You’ll use a tablet to record the position of the bowls by tapping which colour is closer to the jack. This role keeps you close to the players and part of the game’s decision-making process. We promise you will get the hang of it very quickly.

If your availability changes in the meantime, please let us know so we can update the roster. Please also let us know if you’d like your shifts to align with another volunteer’s or if you’re only available for part of a listed shift.
