| About this event

What if we do not attain full enlightenment in this lifetime?

The ultimate goal of Buddhism is to recognize the innate luminous and empty nature of mind. Whether in this life or during the bardo, recognizing the nature of mind leads to liberation.

For most of us, however, this is not easy. Even with sincere practice, we may not attain full enlightenment in this lifetime. If we continue wandering in samsara, there is no certainty that we will again encounter the precious conditions to practice the Dharma.

If we do not attain enlightenment in this life, are we destined to remain in samsara?

The answer is no!

Out of boundless compassion, Amitabha Buddha revealed a path to complete awakening through rebirth in his Pure Land.

Why is the Pure Land path regarded as reliable and accessible?

It is reliable because rebirth in the Pure Land ensures irreversible progress toward full enlightenment.

It is accessible because Amitabha Buddha embraces all beings through the power of his great vows. By sincerely cultivating the Four Causes for Rebirth in the Pure Land, we create the causes for rebirth in the Pure Land.

How can we be reborn in the Pure Land?

In this course, Mingyur Rinpoche will explain the essence of the Pure Land teachings and offer practical guidance on cultivating the Four Causes for Rebirth in the Pure Land.
