Everyone has a story worth telling.
Porchlight Tales was created to preserve and share stories of faith, family, hard work, kindness, humor, and life's everyday lessons.
Whether your story happened last week or fifty years ago, we'd love to hear it. You don't need to be a professional writer. Simply tell your story in your own words.
You may type your story, speak it using your phone's microphone, or upload an audio recording.
Some of the best stories are still waiting to be told.
Most Porchlight Tales stories are between 300 and 800 words. If your story is longer, submit what you can and we can follow up with you.
Using a smartphone? Tap inside the story box and use your phone's microphone button to speak your story instead of typing.
Upload a voice recording and we'll listen to it just as if we were sitting together on the porch.
Old photographs, newspaper clippings, family pictures, military photos, or anything else that helps tell your story.
Story Submission Information

A Note About Your Story
Every submission is read by a real person. While we cannot publish every story, we appreciate every story shared with us.
Thank you for helping preserve memories and life lessons for future generations.
